Events Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, set-up, decorations, transportation (if needed), and clean-up.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with event preparation and execution.
  • Work closely with community partners, local businesses, and sponsors to secure support, resources, and sponsorships for events.
  • Promote events through various channels, including social media, community boards, newsletters, and local media.
  • Evaluate the success of each event by gathering feedback from seniors, volunteers, and staff, and use insights to improve future events.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations during event planning and execution.
  • Foster a warm and inclusive atmosphere during events, encouraging participation and social interaction among seniors.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and execute events.

Donor Management Coordinator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized volunteer to serve as our Donor Management Coordinator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in sustaining and growing our organization's financial support by managing relationships with donors, implementing fundraising initiatives, and ensuring accurate donor records. Your efforts will directly contribute to securing the resources needed to continue our vital work with LGBTQ seniors.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the organization's fundraising team to develop and implement effective donor engagement and stewardship strategies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions, contributions, and preferences.
  • Assist in creating and sending personalized communications to donors, including thank-you notes, progress updates, and impact stories.
  • Coordinate donor recognition efforts, such as acknowledgment letters, certificates, and donor appreciation events.
  • Work with the fundraising team to plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives to attract new donors and retain existing ones.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop compelling fundraising materials, including newsletters, social media posts, and website content.
  • Provide support in organizing and hosting donor-related events, such as cultivation dinners, donor tours, and appreciation gatherings.
  • Research potential funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships aligned with the organization's mission and programs.
  • Assist in preparing donor-related reports and analyses to track fundraising progress and measure the impact of donor contributions.
  • Uphold the organization's commitment to donor confidentiality, ethical fundraising practices, and transparency.

  • Create engaging and compelling content for platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, including posts, images, videos, stories, and graphics.
  • Regularly update and maintain our social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  • Monitor trends and conversations related to LGBTQ seniors and issues, and engage with relevant content to increase our organization's visibility.
  • Respond promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers and supporters, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to align social media efforts with overall communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze the performance of social media content, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, best practices, and platform updates, and apply this knowledge to enhance our online presence.
  • Work with the organization's staff and volunteers to gather content, stories, and news updates to share on social media.
  • Promote events, fundraisers, and initiatives through social media channels to maximize participation and engagement.
